Clear the way for the next trade package with appropriately scoped non-structural removals and organised waste collection.
Preparatory works before refurbishment
Once the loose furniture has been removed, a hotel refurbishment may require carpets, curtains, agreed fittings or other non-structural items to be taken out. We can assess this alongside the FF&E clearance rather than treating every item as a separate visit.
A strip-out programme should identify materials, access, protection needs, interfaces with other contractors and where the waste is going.
- Carpets and soft furnishings, where suitable
- Agreed loose or non-structural fixtures
- Preparatory clearance of guest and communal areas
- Segregation and collection of waste streams
Scope and safety boundaries
We do not describe every strip-out as straightforward clearance. Building fabric, fixed electrical appliances, plumbing connections, structural alterations and suspected hazardous materials can involve additional legal and safety requirements.
These items must be assessed before work starts. Relevant specialist surveys, isolation or competent contractors may be required, and those services are not included unless specifically agreed.
Coordinating with refurbishment teams
If you have a principal contractor, we can discuss sequencing, safe access, handover and waste arrangements with them. Alternatively, Ravenhill Contractors Ltd can quote separately for selected follow-on refurbishment trades.
